Quarters Sets
Available at the Credit Union
In
January 1999,
America
began a unique and historically compelling ten-year celebration of the
50 States. A series of five quarter dollars with new reverses will be
issued each year from 1999 through 2008 celebrating each of the 50
states of the
Union
. The coins will be issued in the sequence that the states became part
of the United States of America
. Each set will contain two uncirculated quarters; one from each coin
mint – Denver (D,) and Philadelphia (P). Historical data and interesting facts will be
included with each state quarter set. Additional state quarters will be
minted approximately every 10 weeks until all 50 states have been
completed in 2008. Each new quarter will be minted for 10 weeks and then
taken out of production. That’s why, as time goes by, these quarter
sets will increase in value.
The first three quarter sets
from (DE, PA and NJ) are available for $4.50. All others retail at
$3.50. Also available for
purchase is the States Quarter Collectors Box Kit for just $9.00. This
kit includes 10 Annual Boxes. These 10 boxes will nest inside the master
collector box. There will be one annual box for each year of the program
- 10 in all. Each annual box holds the 5 state quarter collections for
